On Nov 13, I attended the God and Guns Tour by Mojo Brookzz at the Pensacola Civic Center. The show kicked off promptly at 8pm. The first act to take the stage was "Blackberry Smoke," a Southern Rock band from Atlanta Ga. They delivered a solid performance with 4 songs. Following a stage change, "Rev Theory" was up next. They are a hard rock group, reminiscent of Disturbed but with lighter lyrics. Mojo Brookzz performed from 9:30pm to 11:00pm, playing their popular radio hits and some tracks from their latest album. The audience was fully engaged, with no one sitting down throughout the 1.5-hour set. Comparing it to a recent KISS concert, while KISS had more theatrics, Mojo Brookzz truly rocked the house. Attendees were singing along and dancing in the aisles, making it one of the most enjoyable concert experiences. However, the sound quality was a letdown. "Blackberry Smoke" had the best sound, but it deteriorated with "Rev Theory" and did not improve with Mojo Brookzz. The vocals were muffled, and the overall sound was not well balanced, occasionally sounding distorted. While this didn't ruin the experience, better sound quality would have warranted a higher rating.
